Il leur a donne l'intensite, le relief de la vie; il a invente des Bismark et des de Moltke d'une ressemblance feroce, a la fois ideale et implacable; et le bruyant succes qui a accueilli ces satires en acuou s'adressait tout entier a l'ingenieux artiste qui a entrelace, sur la trame que je lui avais donnee, les bro deries et les arabesques de la plus savante fan taisie.
