"im:print" is an international peer reviewed academic journal for the field of printmaking, book art, and published art. It's an open forum for the discussion of theoretical, conceptual, and technical issues within the whole fi eld of printmaking and published art as well as fort he critical discourse of current evolutions. "im:print" considers itself a platform for documentation and conveyance of new technical developments in the field of printmaking and published art, which subjects comprehension and possible defi nitions of printmaking to a permanent change due to modified paradigms of artistic practice. The current enlargement of printmaking in networks and both digital production and publication is included in the debate as a logical extension of printmaking.

Im:print widmet sich als einzige Publikation in Kontinentaleuropa den internationalen Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Druckgrafik und der publizierten Kunst. Sie ist ein Forum für die Diskussion theoretischer, konzeptioneller und technischer Fragen und begleitet aktuelle Entwicklungen. Künstler haben die Möglichkeit, ihre künstlerische Praxis mit dem Diskurs im Bereich Druckgrafik, mediale Kunst und visuelle Kultur zu verbinden. Alle Beiträge unterliegen einem strengen Review-Verfahren. Somit sind höchste Qualität und Aktualität garantiert.

About the Author
Michael Schneider. Studierte an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien und an der Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan. Arbeitet seit 1990 intensiv in den Techniken des Holzschnitts und Holzdrucks. Ausstellungen in Europa, Japan, Korea, Kanada und den USA. Seit 2006 Redaktionsmitglied des UM:DRUCK Zeitschrift für Druckgraphik und visuelle Kultur. Neben seiner Arbeit als freischaffender Künstler ist er Assistenzprofessor an der Webster University inWien und Senior Artist an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien. Philipp Maurer. Studium der Germanistik, Geschichte und Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Wien. Seit 2006 Herausgeber und Chefredakteur des UM:DRUCK.
