Synopses & Reviews
In the 1920s and 1930s Father Browne visited the Aran Islands where he shot nearly 750 photographs. A lover of history, he focused on the wealth of prehistoric forts, crosses, holy wells, and pilgrimage sites preserved in this isolated location. Most memorably, he captured rare images of the local people living on these barren, windswept islands in an era before electricity. This is the newest volume in the Father Browne series of books.
