Synopsis
We have all heard the phrase, but have you ever paused to imagine what it must be like to have your life flash before your eyes? What thoughts or memories would flash before yours? in a flash is an introspective, psychological drive through that phenomenon.
I challenge you to recall five or so concrete thoughts or memories. Are the connections between them clear, or do you find yourself jumping from one topic to the next? If I were to guess, your thoughts seem sporadic at times, even to you. The pathway between one instance of recollection and then another completely unrelated imagined scenario is blurred and opaque; therefore, the transition appears random to us. It is difficult to unravel the subconscious mind's navigational choices upon reaching that next destination.
in a flash aims to bring that familiar experience to life. At first, this novel may read as though it is a collection of short stories. Yet, in a flash is simply a portrayal of human thought, written similarly to how you experience it every day.
