Synopsis
Studies show people who take antiviral medication for disease outbreaks of herpes and toxoplasmosis seem to have a lower incidence of dementia. What does this mean? Is it a case of reverse causality--which means pre-dementia is affecting who takes medicine? Or could it mean antiviral medication may potentially have a role in dementia prevention? To be sure, we do not know, yet.
