Das Ziel der diesem Buch Ralf Preus zugrundeliegenden Arbeit war die Entwicklung von innovativen Technologien f r die Herstellung kristalliner Silicium-Solarzellen. Um den Einsatz der zur Verf gung stehender Forschungsressourcen effizient zu nutzen, erarbeitet Ralf Preu eine Methodik, bei der der Entwicklungsproze in mehrere Phasen untergliedert wird: Aus einer detaillierten technischen und konomischen Analyse der aktuellen Fertigungstechnologien werden die Sto richtungen f r eine kosteng nstigere Produktion abgeleitet. Auf der Basis von Technologierecherche und -transfer werden Ideen gesammelt und bez glich ihres Potentials bewertet und priorisiert. Vielversprechende Technologien werden einer experimentellen Untersuchung unterzogen, auf deren Grundlage ein Prototyp konzipiert und die Bewertung verfeinert wird. Unter Anwendung dieses Schemas wurden drei neuartige Technologien auf ihr Potential f r den Einsatz in der Photovoltaik untersucht: Die Herstellung selektiver Emitter durch das rasche thermische Prozessieren phosphorhaltiger Siebdruckpasten, die Abscheidung d nner Siliciumnitridschichten durch reaktives Doppel-Magnetron-Sputtern, laserunterst tzte Verfahren zur punktuellen Kontaktierung einer passivierten Solarzellenr ckseite. Mit Hilfe dieser Technologien wurden kristalline Silicium-Solarzellen mit einem Wirkungsgrad von bis zu 21% hergestellt. Der Autor: Dr.-Ing. Ralf Preu studierte Physik an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universit t Freiburg und an der University of Toronto in Kanada sowie Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Fernuniversit t Hagen. Nach Beendigung seiner Diplomarbeit auf dem Gebiet der Charakterisierung und Optimierung photovoltaischer Module wurde er Mitglied der Abteilung Solarzellen- Werkstoffe und Technologie des Fraunhofer-Instituts f r Solare Energiesysteme. Hier war er im Rahmen seiner Doktorarbeit f r die Entwicklung innovativer Produktionstechnologien f r kristalline Silicium-Solarzellen zust ndig.
