Synopsis
When it was established in 1948, Israel was surrounded by enemies determined to destroy it. Given the world consensus that Israel's tiny military could not survive, the War of Independence became one of the greatest military upsets in modern history. The military intelligence gathered by Mossad played a vital role in Israel's victory in the War of Independence. Considered the most secretive and effective intelligence agency in the world, Mossad continues to help battle to exist.
