Excerpt from Institutiones Juris Canonici
II. Quinam in judicio agere, vel conveniri possint, vel non possint? Qui personam legitimam standi in judicio habent, ii agere, et conveniri possunt, in genere loquendo. In Specie vero, primo certum est, quod pu pillus sine tutoris auctoritate, nec agere, nee conveniri in judicio possit. Secundo certam est de jure communi, quod minor 25 annis legitimam personam standi in judicio non habeat, nisi ei curator, saltem ad litem, datas sit (ob judicium scilicet nondum ad lites satis maturum), nisi minor talis, qui vigesimum tamen an num jam implevit, veniam aetatis impetraverit, agendi in judicio etiam sine curatore; aut si 14 annum im plevit, et agat, vel conveniatur in causis beneficialibus, aut aliis spiritualibus, vel his annexis (quamvis impu beres, neque in his causis sine tutore agere possint, puberes tamen in bajus modi causis censentur esse majores), aut agattantum minor 25 annis in possesso rio, de recuperanda, vel obtinenda possessione.
