Very interesting book. It relates the history of fractals and how the concept evolved over time, and those who helped its evolution. It descibes the applications to everyday situations, from turbulence in flow to finance. In short, it has made me want to learn more about this new way of looking at the world. A quote from John Archibald Wheeler (protege of Neils Bohr and friend of Albert Einstein) sums it up quite handily: "No one will be considered scientifically literate who is not familiar with fractals".
