Picking up this book is akin to sliding into a modern day twist on Alice in Wonderland. Though no rabbit holes lurk about for us to fall into, readers will indeed be sucked into this delightful world created by Author MacGillivray in the Hebrides of Scotland. An isle so removed from the hardships of the modern world, Falgannon will reach into your heart and entice you to join its madcap ranks. B.A. Montgomerie is the lady of Falgannon and the keeper of the peoples' happiness and prosperity. Through an ancient curse going back to Pictish times, no man of Falgannon will have a lasting marriage till their lady succumbs to and weds a man with green eyes and Ireland in his soul. Despite this, B.A. advertises Falgannon as the Isle of Love in hopes of finding her 213 lads brides. When Desmond Mershan descends upon the isle with his Viking invaders, the men of Falgannon are in cahoots to see their lady bedded and wedded to the enigmatic man. Desmond is not adverse to the idea, as they will suit his ulterior motives well. What he didn't count on was a mass of genuinely caring individuals, an isle that draws him into a surreal sense of homecoming and a bewitching lady that threatens to shake his heart's hardened veneer. By end of chapter one, I am breathless with laughter and thoroughly spellbound by Falgannon and its eclectic mix of souls. Removed as they are from the unsavory elements of the world, the characters, from B.A. and Desmond to The Cat Dudley, imbue this read with a delightful plethora of fresh witticisms and insights of life. B.A. is a strong heroine, one willing to go to enormous emotional lengths for Desmond's tortured soul. Desmond in turn is a breathtaking hero, bent on destruction, but saved by love's embrace. Author MacGillivray continues to astound with her second romantic novel, first in her Seven Sisters of Colford Hall series and proves that she has what it takes to move between the genres. I am eagerly awaiting Raven's and Asha's stories, which coincide with B.A.'s. Bravo, Ms. MacGillivray and keep 'em coming!

Jacquie Rogers, author of Faery Special Romances

The Cat Dudley Rules! You won't forget the characters in this book for a very, very long time after you finish the last page. The Cat Dudley is a force to be reckoned with. Desmond, a wounded hero, is determined to bring down the Montgomery empire, and B.A. with it, even though she sets his heart (and other things) atwitter. Meanwhile, 213 men are doing whatever they can to make B.A. fall in love with the green-eyed half-Irishman outlander. Why? To break the curse preventing marital bliss--the islanders want wives. And what a gutsy heroine is B.A.! She is a tenacious, kind-hearted woman who is determined to bring love to the men of Falgannon Isle. The only thing she can't do is let herself fall in love again. But The Cat Dudley has other ideas, and he's more than accustomed to getting his own way. The Invasion of Falgannon Isle is a wonderful read that will take you through the entire gamut of emotion. It's a revenge story, but like none other. There's humor and angst. Sometimes you want to kiss Desmond and sometimes you want to kick him. Mostly, you'll want to kiss him. And, of course, I adored The Kitten Annie. I'm primarily a historical romance reader, but this contemporary paranormal brings the past into the present. Wonderful book. Buy it. Read it. You won't be sorry.

Deborah MacGillivray has written another wonderful romance, this time a contemporary. Simply put, the isle of Falgannon is under a curse. Until the lady of the isle, B.A. Montgomery at this point in time, marries a green eyed, black haired, man of Irish descent born off the isle, all 213 men of the island must wait to marry or suffer the curse. When Desmond Mershan arrives?green eyes, black hair, Irish mother?the men of the island believe they?ve found a match for their lady. They, and their efforts at match-making, are hilarious. Then there?s The Cat Dudley, my favorite in the crazy cast of characters. The humor continues throughout, the romance between B.A. and Des begins slowly, sizzles and roars into flames. Then Ms MacGillivray?s talent is showcased when Des?s reason for coming to the island is revealed, and with it, his pain. The love Des has for B.A. and the revenge he has to extract tear him apart. How the author resolves this no-win situation read true, and felt right. Well done. You?ll laugh and you will cry with this story. I loved it and highly recommend you read this. I can?t wait for the next in the series.

Ms. MacGillivray has not only done it again, she?s put an entirely new and wonderful twist on the saying! This latest effort has upped the bar for contemporary romance novels today and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt she is an author to watch! B. A. Montgomerie has the daunting task of not only being the sole, eligible woman on an isle of over 200 braw and bonnie Scotsman, but being the Lady of the Isle, is the reason they cannot find wives. Falgannon is home to a centuries old curse boding that no man will sire daughters or find happiness in marriage unless The Lady of the Isle weds a black haired, green-eyed Irishman. As you can imagine, these Scot laddies are none too please. So when a man fitting the bill stumbles onto their peaceful island, these peculiar and hilarious characters set to matchmaking. Desmond Mershan has only one thing in mind when he steps foot on Falgannon, and it?s not breaking some silly curse. For years he has planned and waited to take his revenge on the Montgomerie clan. However, no amount of caution or planning could have prepared him for the formidable cat and an even more remarkable woman he found hidden like the most rare of treasures on the island. B.A. awakens in him emotions he thought he?d long buried under years and years of hate, and he finds himself almost too willing to let her love assuage his soul. But when the time comes for him to follow through with his plan, will Desmond be able to let go of his past to start a future with B.A? Or will both he and the island Scots forever be doomed to live a life without love? This story is an emotional rollercoaster I never wanted to end! The antics and predicaments the Scots boys and the Cat Dudley find themselves in made me laugh out loud. While the tormented and wounded spirit within Desmond, pulled my heartstrings and brought a lump to my throat. He and B.A. are perfectly matched and their courtship is a pure joy to behold. This latest effort, fresh off the staggering success of her top ranking best seller, A Restless Knight, has permanently placed Ms. MacGillivray on the list of authors I will buy simply because her name is on the cover. I am eagerly anticipating the sequel, Riding The Thunder as well as the future stories about these memorable and endearing characters.
