About the Author

He is a past president of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association, a member of the Golf Collectors Society, and a premier golf historian. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut. Arnold Palmer is one of the most storied players in the sport of golf. The winner of seven majors, including four green jackets as Masters champion, he is still active on the Professional Golf Association's senior tour. He is the president of Arnold Palmer Enterprises and the Palmer Course Design Co., and the owner of two courses: the Latrobe Country Club in his native Pennsylvania, and the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. His autobiography, A Golfer's Life, was a New York Times bestseller. Dave Anderson has been a sportswriter for the New York Times since 1966. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1981 for distinguished commentary. Gary Player is a legend to golfers around the world. He lives in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Lee Trevino is a professional golfer who won six major championships over the course of his career. Tom Watson is associate professor and head of the School of Communication at Charles Sturt University in Australia. He has more than 25 years experience in corporate and consultancy public relations.
