Jake and Miller's Big Adventure introduces children to prepping in a nonthreatening way and even shows how prepping can be exciting! The entertaining story depicts bold Jake and his scaredy-dog best friend Miller packing for a big adventure into the wilderness. As the pair fills up their backpack with all the necessities for any emergency situation — from a first aid kit, crank radio, and blankets to packaged food, water, and a tent — the adventure they plan grows bigger and more thrill-packed. Soon, they're ready to trek across a blistering desert, scale a snow-covered mountain, and ride out floodwaters in a tropical rainforest. Finally when the big day comes, Jake and Miller have their bags packed and are ready to depart on their grand adventure . . . which turns out to be in the wilds of their own backyard, under the watchful eye of Mom.
