Synopsis
Esta obra se ocupa del estudio de la elipsis gramatical, uno de los recursos b sicos de la econom a del lenguaje y de la cohesi n textual. Para ello, analiza su empleo en tres textos representativos de la prosa literaria espa ola del siglo XV, en concreto, de la denominada "ficci n o novela sentimental" Siervo libre de amor (1440), Triunfo de amor (1470-1485) y C rcel de amor (1492). No se trata, sin embargo, de un estudio meramente formalista, centrado solo en el an lisis de estructuras ling sticas, pues la autora ha tenido en cuenta las condiciones pragm ticas de la creaci n, recepci n y composici n de las obras analizadas a fin de establecer correlaciones que puedan aclarar la preferencia por ciertos esquemas el pticos. Asimismo, se discuten los criterios que amparan la aceptaci n de tales esquemas en la tradici n gramatical espa ola con el objetivo de establecer una clasificaci n s lida de los diferentes tipos de elipsis. Estos tipos son el vaciado, la reducci n de SSVV coordinados, la elisi n con part cula de polaridad, la an fora de complemento nulo, el truncamiento, la elipsis del n cleo del sintagma nominal y la elipsis del sujeto.
