Au cours de l'histoire de l' glise, plusieurs confessions de foi ont t crites durant une p riode de controverses th ologiques. C'est le cas des Canons de Dordrecht, qui ont t r dig s dans le but de r futer les erreurs de l'arminianisme et de r affirmer les grandes doctrines de la gr ce souveraine de Dieu.Les chr tiens r form s du xviie si cle ont donc t mis l' preuve et ils ont d prendre position sur diff rentes questions doctrinales. L' glise de Rome avait-elle raison, apr s tout, de souligner que l'homme devait gagner son salut ? Les anabaptistes avaient-ils raison de dire que l'homme devait d'abord r pondre avant que Dieu vienne dans sa vie ?
