About the Author
Ron Hirschi is the author of more than fifty books for young readers, including
When Night Comes and
When Morning Comes, both of which feature photographs by Tom Mangelsen. Hirschi and his wife live on a small island within the shadow of the Olympic Mountaings of Washington State.
Thomas D. Mangelson has dedicated his career to the appreciation and protection of the world's wildlife. His photos have been published in numerous nature magazines, including Audubon and National Geographic. He lives in Jackson, Wyoming.
