Tonya M. Evans practices primarily in the areas of intellectual property and literary law, with a focus on the review and negotiation of contracts, and the registration, maintenance, and protection of copyrights and trademarks. Ms. Evans is also a poet, known affectionately as "Lawyer by day, Poet by night," and the author of
Literary Law Guide for Authors:Copyright, Trademark, and Contracts in Plain Language, which is a 2004 Benjamin Franklin Award and Independent Publisher Online "IPPY" Award finalist. She has also authored two books of poetry, Seasons of Her: A Collection of Poetry, and SHINE! Inspirational Poetry with Companion CD. Ms. Evans is a regular contributor to numerous magazines and newsletters, and her short story, "Not Tonight," appears in an anthology titled Proverbs for the People, published by Kensington.
