About the Author
Jean-Claude Carrierre is one of France's most distinguished contemporary writers and has received the Prix Goncourt for his novel The Valladolid Controversy. For the stage, he adapted The Mahabharata for Peter Brook, and wrote the screenplays for The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Tin Drum and Cyrano de Bergerac.
