About the Author
Bill Phillips is president of the International Association of Home Safety and Security Professionals, and author of numerous security-related books, including McGraw-Hills The Complete Book of Locks and Locksmithing, Sixth Edition and Locksmith and Security Professionals' Exam Study Guide. His articles have appeared in Consumers Digest, Crime Beat, Home Mechanix, Keynotes (trade journal of the Associated Locksmiths of America), Locksmith Ledger International, The Los Angeles Times, Safe & Vault Technology, Security Dealer, Special Reports, and other periodicals. Phillips has worked throughout the U.S. as a locksmith, safe technician, and alarm systems installer. He is currently a security consultant and freelance writer.
