Synopses & Reviews
Without the Thames, London in its present form would not exist. Its tidal ebb and flow were of such immense importance to early navigation, that until the closure of the docks in the 1960s, London was essentially a maritime city. London from the Thames takes the reader on an enticing boat trip from the Thames Barrier in the east to Hampton Court in the west, exploring this historic river and the buildings and monuments on its banks. With a foreground of rippling, reflective water, these buildings appear to their best advantage from the river, and Angelo Hornak's stunning photographs, all taken from his boat, offer a uniquely beautiful perspective.
