Excerpt from Lowndes of South Carolina: An Historical and Genealogical Memoir
The Appendix, which has been divided into two parts, will be found to contain in the first part, Copies and extracts of those wills and deeds referred to in the narratives which establish the connection be tween the Cheshire and Carolina families, and in the second, copies of some of the documents in the Record Office at London, which illustrate the connection of the Overton family of Lowndes with the Province of South Carolina, and throw light upon its early settle ment and administration.
