Synopses & Reviews
'This up-to-date book includes the latest specification from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The emphasis is on the design of building components in accordance with the provisions of the AISC Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Specification and the LRFD Manual of Steel Construction. Without requiring students to have a knowledge of stability theory or statically indeterminate structures, the book maintains a balance of background material with applications.'
Review
???This book is excellently written. It is at precisely the correct level of detail for undergraduate students. The presentation style is just right: precise and to the point.???
Review
???My overall assessment is very positive. I am glad that this excellent textbook is being updated to incorporate the provisions of the latest AISC Code Provisions.???
Review
???I think that the overall strength of this text is its direct approach to many of the most common situations in steel design.???
