Maximizing Brain Injury Recovery

Assessment and rehabilitation treatment of patients in the trauma center and the ICU require knowledge and skills unique to that environment and different from treatment of patients further on in the recovery process. This book provides descriptions of basic pathophysiology and specific interventions of the various rehabilitation therapists and explains the rationale behind various decisions made regarding initiation and discontinuance of treatment. It also emphasizes and describes how individual team members work together to maximize patient care.
