About the Author
Janet Duffey is a professor of nursing at Napa Valley College in Napa, California. She teaches medical terminology to nursing students, as well as medical surgical, geriatrics, and mental health nursing, and contributed to the 19th edition of
Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary. She has spoken frequently at nursing conferences.
