About the Author
About the Authors David Elderbrock has worked for over five years as a technical consultant and Internet developer for Silicon Valley start-ups, small businesses, and large corporations. He got his start as an Internet developer at the University of California, Berkeley, where he helped design an online reading and composition database for writing instructors while working on his Ph.D. in English. David has been instrumental in the design and implementation of over two dozen Web sites, and in addition to hammering out his share of Web pages in text editors, he has also done programming, mostly in Perl, JavaScript, and Java, with, more recently, a smattering of Visual Basic and C++. He has developed a number of online database applications, SQL and otherwise, on Macintosh, Windows, and Unix platforms. He is the principal author of Building Successful Internet Businesses and a contributing author of Producing Web Hits, both published by IDG Books Worldwide. David Karlins has written or contributed to nine books on FrontPage and Image Composer. He teaches FrontPage and Web design classes and hosts the FrontPage Forum at www.ppinet.com.
