La politique migratoire et fonci re de la C te d Ivoire1 h rit e de la p riode coloniale repose sur deux piliers importants: le juridique et l conomique. Ces principes de base dans leur application ont montr leurs insuffisances et limites, cause de la colonisation agricole qui s est d roul e dans les zones foresti res de l Ouest ivoiriennes - dans les ann es 1920 - et la politique fonci re appliqu e par l administration coloniale fran aise, suscitant des litiges fonciers entre autochtones (populations non migrantes tablies depuis longtemps en C te d Ivoire) et les allochtones (migrants ou trangers issus du Nord ivoirien ou des pays limitrophes), principalement de la Haute Volta (actuel Burkina Faso), du Mali et de la Guin e.
