Synopses & Reviews
Current research in phonology is reported in 14 papers from the 1996 Berkeley Germanic Linguistics Roundtable. Diachronic studies and historical research remain popular for phonological research, while syntax is pursued mainly with contemporary data. German dialects are well represented, as are a broad range of current linguistic theories and paradigms.
