About the Author
Joseph J. Adamski worked at aerospace and financial services companies from 1968 to 1979 as a programmer, an analyst, and in management, where he focused on database, database management systems, and software engineering. He has since been an associate professor of computer science and information systems at Grand Valley State University, and has authored or co-authored more than 40 textbooks about database and systems development for Course Technology. In addition, Joe has trained and consulted many organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys being the treasurer of the National Puzzlers? League.Kathleen Finnegan is a co-author on New Perspectives on Microsoft Access Brief and has edited and managed many other textbooks on Microsoft applications for Course Technology. Prior to joining Course Technology, Kathy taught various computer courses in the industry for corporate training and high-tech companies and developed courseware as a technical writer and editor for such companies as The Forum Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, and IBM.
