Synopses & Reviews
There is something moist about the women Araki Nobuyoshi photographs. By passing through his lens, the women revert to a fluid state in which they are the very blood that courses through their veins. They voluntarily reveal the significance of blood and the flow of life by removing the disguise of clothing, stripping off their makeup, and finding within that which is both essential and unconscious. Here, the marrow of woman is bared, the glow of her hidden sexuality is brought to light, and a sense of mystery shines through.
