Anyone who has read any of Emily Conrad’s Rhythms of Redemption series knows Tim. He is the manger for the Awestruck band, a single father who has not often been present in his daughter’s life. He is a great manger but a little rough around the edges.
In this prequel novella, we finally get Tim’s story. We meet his daughter, Isabella, and learn that he indeed is a father tryin to make up for lost time and do the right thing.
In Many Oaks, Iowa while on a road trip meant to strengthen their relationship they meet
Gabby (a widow) and her daughter, Charity.
During the week there Tim and Gabby learn some lessons in life and gain some hope for the future.
This prequel is a great lead in to her next series, The Many Oaks Romances. Which is great as this
story totally left me hanging and wanting to know what happens next.
I liked that these characters are middle aged, a refreshing change from most Christian fiction.
I love the way Emily writes so I know you won't be disappointed in Emily’s books. Her characters are realistic sometimes edgy with real and often deep issues. Her stories demonstrate how no matter the issues faced, God is the only real answer. She blends faith, life and love seamlessly.
I received a complimentary copy but wasn't required to leave a positive review.
