Palm Tree 13 is a Louis L'Amour-style western involving the characters of Southern California's mellow movement (The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor), during the mid-seventies. Focusing on hotshot record label honcho, David Geffen, Camden Joy looks at the shift of rock'n'roll from an outsider's rebel music to a pre-packaged "outlaw" commodity. Cattle Barons tamed the Old West to make more money and steal more land and, well, if they had to kill a few Indians, so be it.
