Synopsis
In the third book of three, this is the continued story of Peter Hawthorn and his friends as they embark on the liberation of Kuwait from the 1990 invasion by the Iraqi forces of Saddam Hussein.The sovereign state of Kuwait has been invaded unprovoked and its the job of the allies by UN mandate to release the country from the grip of this unjustified occupying force.Peter and his friends have to undergo task that are both dangerous and thought provoking but with their experiences of actual combat in Alaska and the main stay of the Yorkshire spirit these sons of Yorkshire are more than ready to take on the Iraqi forces and bring them to task. Will they succeed at whatever is thrown at them or will too much combat be their demise.
Synopsis
Peter Hawthorn: Kuwait into the fires of hell. Book 3 of a series of three follows Peter and his friends to the first gulf war after the unprovoked invasion of Kuwait by the Iraqi armed forces. Peter and his men soon begin encompassing Operation Desert shield and the beginning of Operation Desert storm.Peter has married Mary Macintyre and adopted Kenzie Macintyre as his own daughter he also has a new born son Peter Junior. Promoted to Sergeant Major Peter and his friends are sent as an advance party to Saudi Arabia to prepare a base of operations for the entire regiment.Contact with the enemy is inevitable in Peter's world as preparations get underway but the chance meeting of an old friend from Alaska brightens Peter's day as the UN implements sanction and Ambassador Kofi Annan continues to meet with Saddam Hussein and the allies to try to avert war.
