Synopsis
Davidson, professor emeritus at U.C. Berkeley, is admired for his provocative and influential theories of mind and language.
Although Donald Davidson is considered an analytic philosopher, his thought straddles many areas of philosophy. One of his greatest contributions is the development of a philosophical system based on his theory of mind and language, but he has also worked on theory of action, philosophy of language, decision theory, psychology, epistemology, ethics, the concept of truth, and the concept of objectivity
Synopsis
Davidson is one of the most important and influential philosophers around. It has articles (and D's responses to them) by McDowell, Stroud, Higginbotham, Rorty, and other notable philosophers. The strongest material here is probably that which encounters Davidson's work in the philosophy of mind and action.
