About the Author
Katherine Rizzuto has been an inveterate .story teller' her entire life. .Poodles Don-t Play Tennis' is her debut children-s book that combines this yen for a yarn with her love of her children and the .secret' life of their (current) beloved pets, Victor and Margie. The story is also inspired by Katherine-s mother who over the years always told the tale of how all animals can talk at midnight on Christmas Eve" thus opening a parallel world of animal-s adventures.Professionally, Katherine has been employed in the Publishing world for the last 25 years in both traditional and new media. She has held positions as VP Publisher and VP Associate Publisher of Marie Claire, Fitness, Brides and In Style magazines. She is currently the Sr. Director of Global Accounts at Yahoo! At all of these jobs she has always been telling .stories,' and was recently inducted into the MIN (Media Industry Newsletter) Sales Hall of Fame. She also participated in a Guinness Book of World Record feat by closing the magazine with the .most advertising pages ever' at Brides in 1999.Katherine lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband, three children, and of course, the two big poodles. She looks forward to sharing more Victor and Margie adventures in the coming years.Liz Murphy was born in London England in 1964 and now lives with her husband, two sons and two dogs in Montclair, New Jersey.After graduating from Kingston School of Art and Design with a BA in Graphic Design, Liz worked in numerous design agencies in London specializing in packing design. In 1993 she left her job as creative director for a large design firm to work as a freelance designer.
