About the Author
Dr. Luis A. Rosado is Professor of Bilingual Education and the Director of the Center for Bilingual and ESL Education in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds degrees from the University of Puerto Rico, Boston State College, and Texas A & M University-Kingsville. He has published extensively in the areas of pedagogy and professional responsibilities, parental involvement, cross-cultural communication, Spanish linguistics and Spanish for bilingual teachers.
Prior to coming to UT-Arlington, Dr. Rosado held academic appointments at Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Texas Southern University, and Texas Womans University. Dr. Rosado has over 25 years of teaching experience at the elementary, high school, and college levels. He has taught in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and Texas.
