About the Author
Ron Spomer has hunted in forty states and five countries, from the Arctic Circle to Africa. He travels at least four months a year, armed with rod, gun, and camera in search of adventures about which he later writes. He is the rifle columnist for Sporting Classics, a technical writer for Rifle Magazine, and a field editor for American Hunter and Sports Afield. He is the author/photographer of The Rut, Big Game Hunter's Guide to Montana, Big Game Hunter's Guide to Idaho, The Hunter's Book of the Whitetail, and coauthor of Advanced Whitetail Hunting. He is also the host of the television show Winchester World of Whitetail. Ron Spomer lives in Boise, Idaho.
