Simple illustrations and wiring diagrams, along with straightforward explanations of how automotive electricity and electronics work, act together to make this an ideal introduction to electrical and electronics diagnostics and service.
Synopsis
This easy-to-read book is ideal for beginning automotive technicians and home hobbyists who are performing electrical repairs. Through case studies and "hands-on" exercises, this book updates users on the complex electrical systems on vehicles manufactured in the 90s. People working in the automotive repair field who have not had the opportunity to return to school will find that this practical and enjoyable book will help them improve their basic theory skills.
Synopsis
This new text makes learning the principles of electricity and electronics enjoyable and exciting for beginning automotive technician students. A relaxed writing style appeals to students, making it easy to learn the foundations of electricity, interpret the information in a wiring diagram, and diagnose problems quickly. Theory-based, repetitive exercises allow the student to master circuits and devices, while case studies expand students' ability to see the entire operation of an electrical system. A series of simple "hands-on" tests allows student to practice with live circuits. Theory and practical examples are interwoven throughout to give students a comprehensive understanding of automotive electricity and electronics.
