Metasternum - The portion of the metasternum remaining ventral is much reduced, its vestiges varying in size and Shape. This region may be appropriately designated the metasternite (figs. 2, 3, etc. Msa). The furcal arms are much shorter than is the case in the pro and mesosterna and together are somewhat in the shape of the letter H.
