The Three Little Pigs is one of a series of first reading books especially created to develop the confidence of young readers. Each familiar fairy story is charmingly told in rhyme or in strong rhythmic prose to make reading fun, and the magical illustrations help understanding. At the end of each book, a ready to tell section encourages children to rearrange episodes from the story and gain confidence by retelling it. Picture dictionary pages illustrate more difficult words and present key words in context. Pale colored backgrounds help dyslexic readers.
Synopsis
Ready to Read is a series of reading books designed to encourage and develop the confidence of young readers between the ages of 5 and 7. They are aimed at children who can read a little, but who need lively but structured books to help them develop their skills further. The Level 1 books use no more than 300 words. The stories are told in ten episodes, in rhyme, avoiding complex words. Any hard words that are used are explained on the picture dictionary page. The text is positioned on pale colors to help dyslexic readers.
