About the Author
Maureen McLaughlin is a Professor of Education at East Stroudsburg State University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of Critical Literacy: Enhancing Students' Comprehension of Text (Scholastic), Guided Comprehension: a Teaching Model for Grades K-8; Guided Comprehension in Action: Lessons for Grades 3-8; and Guided Comprehension in the Primary Grades (IRA).
Leslie Fisher is a teacher at Franklin elementary School, Roxbury New Jersey. She was also a contributor to McLaughlin's last book.
