About the Author
Marshall W. Dennis is president of REMOC ASSOCIATES, LTD. Dennis has been involved in training federal and state bank and credit union examiners since 1986 and has assisted in the development of residential mortgage lending guides for examiners. He has also been the primary real estate instructor at the National School of Banking since 1985. Dennis is an attorney and former real estate professor. He has been an adjunct professor of real estate finance at many universities. Dennis is also an internationally known expert on mortgage lending and has been retained by the U. S. Agency for International Development to assist foreign governments in establishing housing finance systems.Thomas J. Pinkowish is an accomplished third-party underwriter of mortgage loans for many different classifications of mortgage lenders and is the director of the Community Lending Institute. His mortgage lending experience is extensive and includes running the loan administration department of a savings bank. Tom worked on the chapters covering processing, underwriting, appraisal, mortgage insurance and construction lending.
