Dieser Buchtitel ist Teil des Digitalisierungsprojekts Springer Book Archives mit Publikationen, die seit den Anfangen des Verlags von 1842 erschienen sind. Synopsis
Das vorliegende Heft soll eine Erganzung zu den bereits fruher vom Verfasser herausgegebenen Heften dieser Sammlung "Die Rontgenstrahlen als Hilfsmittel der chemischen Forschung" und der "Metallrontgenrohren" bilden. Gerade in den letzten Jahren hat die rontgenographische Werkstoffprufung begonnen, sich in der Technik einzuburgern und in den Laboratorien der Groindustrie festen Fu zu fassen. Dieses Heftchen ist daher den praktischen Be- durfnissen zugeschnitten. Es ist weniger Wert auf die strenge mathematische Ableitung der einzelnen Strukturbestimmungs-sowie Berechnungsmethoden gelegt, als darauf, dall gezeigt werden soll, was man mit den verschiedenen Rontgenmethoden alles machen kann. Es genugt oft schon rein qualitativ, aus dem Rontgeno- gramm eines Werkstucks Schlusse auf die Korngt'oe oder den Bear- beitungsvorgang zu ziehen. Fur Gutachten und Patententschei- dungen kann die Rontgenaufnahme oft von entscheidendem EinHu sem. Stichproben bei der Betriebskontrolle konnen rontgenographisch in vielen Fallen durch Kontt'olle anderer Verfahren von groUem Wert sein. Und nicht zuletzt vermogen die Rontgenmethoden bei der industriellen Forschungsarbeit ein gewichtiges WOlt mitzureden. Als letztes Kapitel ist eine Beschreibung der Materialdia- gnostik mit direkter Durchleuchtung gebracht, Bei hochwertigen Werkstoffen hat dieses Verfahren Aussicht, sich als laufende Kontrollmethode zu bewahren.
