Why would someone row to Ghost Island in the middle of the night?
When Enrique Sanchez’s father dies, he and his sisters run away to avoid deportation to Mexico. Enrique’s classmates, Jessie Miller and Max Hunter, enlist their pal Cooper Smalley to track Enrique down so they can help him. Meanwhile, Chenoa Falls is reeling from a series of well-planned burglaries and the police think Enrique is to blame. No one is sure who to trust in their small town, but Jessie, Max, and Cooper are determined to put together the clues and clear their friend’s name. Unfortunately, the clues seem to be leading to the one place no one wants to go—Ghost Island! Stormy weather, unexpected crooks, and a cougar mean they’ll have to be wise and brave if they are ever going to make it off the island … alive.
