Synopses & Reviews
This is the poignant, classic story by Oscar Wilde about a selfish giant who builds a wall to keep the lively children from playing in his garden. But then the birds do not care anymore to sing in the giant's garden, and the trees and flowers do not want to blossom. Spring, summer and autumn forget to come to the garden; only winter comes to stay.
One day the children find a hole in the wall and come back into the garden. The trees and blossoms and birds all rejoice at their return. The giant's heart is melted, and through an act of compassion, he is freed from his selfishness.
Oscar Wilde's popular and charming story is accompanied by illustrations full of atmosphere and color.
