Here's my disclosure up front: I volunteer a little in the group the author founded, and was provided a free review copy by the publisher. Also, I don't have kids, but I am a librarian. I'm leaving this review because shark conservation is really important to me, and I support anything that helps that- and a book like this would help kids have that interest from a young age. This book is awesome! I found it really engaging as an adult and I would have LOVED it as a kid. The facts are really interesting, and broken down in small pieces to absorb easily. The activities are well thought out and look fun (honestly, I was tempted to try them myself). This would be a great book for any kids who are interested in sharks, science, the ocean, conservation- the list goes on. It helps to explain why sharks are so fascinating, but not scary. I really liked the mix between color photos and really cool (and cute!) illustrations. Would make a great present for a kid in your life.
