Synopses & Reviews
Synopsis
This lavishly produced volume showcases an important American realist painter, featuring work from 1967 through 1999. Dinnerstein's art, reflecting his affection for the Northern Renaissance, but with a thoroughly modern eye for abstract design and social commentary, ranges from still lifes, portraits, landscapes and city views, to a glorious series of nudes. All are reproduced in full color, many with enlarged details.
Published in conjunction with a traveling retrospective exhibition that will be seen at New York's Bread and Roses Gallery, Martin Luther King Labor Center, and Saint Peter's Church; Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas; Texarkana Regional Arts Center, Texas; and Marsh Art Gallery, University of Richmond, Virginia.
