Synopsis
Intended as a supplemental reader, but also used as a main text for the introductory sociology and social sciences courses at both two- and four-year schools. SOCIOLOGICAL FOOTPRINTS: INTRODUCTORY READINGS IN SOCIOLOGY, 11E, can accompany any Wadsworth Introductory Sociology text, or be used in conjunction with other materials that a professor selects. The course usually fulfills a general education requirement, so both majors and non-majors will take this course.
About the Author
Leonard Cargan received his PhD from Wayne State University in 1968. Dr. Cargan is the author of several books and numerous papers. He is currently a professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Sociology at Wright State University in Ohio.Jeanne Ballantine received her PhD from Indiana University in 1971. She is co-author of SCHOOLS AND SOCIETY (Thomson Wadsworth, 2001) and many other books, articles, and papers. She is currently in the Sociology Department at Wright State University in Ohio.
