In den beiden BAnden werden die BeitrAge zum Solarchemischen Kolloquium, veranstaltet von der DLR am 12./13. Juni 1989 in KAln, dokumentiert. Band I konzentriert sich auf die Grundlagen, Band II auf einen besonders wichtigen Einsatzbereich der Solarchemie. Das Ziel war die Vermittlung grundlegenden Wissens und VerstAndnisses fA1/4r die Solarchemie. Die von der Sonne zur VerfA1/4gung gestellte qualitativ hochwertige Strahlungsenergie geringer Dichte kann durch konzentrierende Systeme in der Solartechnologie auf sehr hohe Energiestromdichten gebracht werden. Sehr hohe Temperaturen lassen sich erreichen, und groAe Temperatur-Transienten kAnnen nutzbar gemacht werden. Neben Anwendungen in der Thermochemie erAffnen sich neue interessante Gebiete in der Hochtemperaturphotochemie, der Hochtemperaturelektrochemie und der Photoelektrochemie. Die solare Detoxifizierung von ProblemabfAllen ist ein potentiell attraktiver Schwerpunkt aus dem Spektrum zahlreicher Anwendungen der Solarenergie fA1/4r chemische und physikalisch-chemische Verfahren, deren PraktikabilitAt es auszuloten gilt. Die SondermA1/4llproblematik verlangt immer drAngender nach einer LAsung. Deshalb wird dieser Schwerpunkt von der Darstellung der Grundlagen des ersten Bandes abkoppelt und das Thema des zweiten Bandes sein.
Synopsis
Dieser Band dokumentiert die Beitrage zum zweiten Teil "Solare Detoxifizierung von Problemabfallen" des "Solarchemischen Kol- loquiums," zu dem die DLR am 12. und 13. Juni 1989 eingeladen hatte. Die Idee zu diesem Kolloquium entstammt den Anregungen der bundesdeutschen Teilnehmer der Task VI "Long Term Solar Fuels and Chemicals" des IEA-SSPS-Programms (SSPS = Small Solar Power Systems). Geplant war, auf einer breiten national en Ebene weiterzuentwickeln, was im kleinen Kreise bereits andiskutiert worden war. In die Vortrage und Diskussionen des "Solarche- mischen Kolloquiums" flossen auch die Ideen mit ein, die wahrend des "lEA-Workshop on Long-Range R&D-Opportunities for Renewable Energy" in Charmey, Schweiz, im September 1988 angesprochen worden waren. Die solare Detoxifizierung von Problemabfallen ist ein potent i- ell attraktiver Schwerpunkt aus dem Spektrum zahlreicher Anwen- dungen der Solarenergie fur chemische und physikalisch-chemische Verfahren, deren Praktikabilitat es auszuloten gilt. Die Sonder- mullproblematik verlangt immer drangender nach einer Losung. Sie ist eine Querschnittsaufgabe, in die viele Disziplinen einflie- Ben. Deshalb wurde dieser Schwerpunkt von der Darstellung der "Grundlagen der Solarchemie" im ersten Teil des Kolloquiums abgekoppelt und als gesondertes Thema im zweiten Teil behandelt. Ausgehend von den konventionellen Methoden der Sonderabfallbe- handlung und der Vorstellung vorhandener Solartechnologie wurden erste Ansatze zum Einsatz der Solarenergie fur die Entgiftung von Problemabfallen vorgestellt. Den Referenten gilt es zu danken fur ihr Engagement bei der Wissensvermittlung sowie fur die Ausarbeitung ihrer Manuskripte.
