About the Author
José Carlos Llop (Palma de Mallorca, 1956) is an award-winning Spanish author. He has published several novels, two collections of short stories, nine books of poetry and five volumes of diaries.
Howard Curtis has translated many books from Spanish, French and Italian, mostly of contemporary fiction, and has won a number of prizes for his translations. Spanish-language writers he has translated include Luis Sepúlveda, Francisco Coloane and Santiago Gamboa.
