About the Author
W. Gibb Dyer is O. Leslie Stone Professor of Entrepreneurship, Department of Organizational Leadership and Strategy, Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. He is also Academic Director of Center for Economic Self-Reliance at the Marriott School of Management. He is the author of 5 books and has written numerous articles in publications such as
Academy of Management Executive,
Organizational Dynamics,
Administrative Science Quarterly,
Contemporary Psychology, and
Sloan Management Review. He consults periodically and speaks to academic and practitioner audiences.
Jeff H. Dyer is Horace Beasley Professor of Global Strategy, Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. Previously, he was an associate with Bain & Company. He teaches executive courses at UCLA, Wharton, and Northwestern, and speaks regularly at Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society. His numerous articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and Strategic Management Journal, among others. He is a member of Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, Association of International Business. He was ranked the 4th most cited management scholar. His research has won awards from the Academy of Management, Institute of Management Science, Strategic Management Society, and McKinsey & Company.
William G. Dyer is the author of the first 3 editions of Team Building, which was the first book on team building and published in the Addison Wesley OD series. He passed away in 1997, and the 4th edition was edited and written by his sons, W. Gibb and Jeff Dyer.
