Synopsis

Have you ever read of a war told from both sides?
.
Planet Arc, capital planet of the Duathic Intergalactic Kingdom.
It's the last day of a decade-long-war. The invading Coalition has surrounded the Duathic King Teum and his army at the city of Sindorum. The battle will end in three days and in that time a diverse cast of characters must each face their own reckoning.
.
.
Two sisters, daughters of the Duathic King, are trapped in a war zone with enemies on all sides. When the invading Coalition surrounds their refugee camp, they are forced to launch a daring plan to escape.
The only problem?
Only one sister truly wants to leave.
.
.
Leader of an elite recon platoon for the invading Coalition, a young lieutenant finds himself assigned to an ambitious and blood thirsty new commander. Positioned at the tip of the spear, the lieutenant soon finds each mission more dangerous than the last. When friends become foes, nothing is as it seems.
As the final battle draws to a treacherous end, one lieutenant must ask where his true loyalties lie.
.
.
And finally, a Taker - a 200-year-old cybernetic assassin employed by a shadowy political cabal. After a mission where he's asked to kill an old friend, the assassin is given a new and deadly assignment: Travel to the war-ridden planet of Arc to capture or kill every member of the Duathic Royal Family.
Journey now into a story filled with soldiers, spies, and wayward princesses ... they all meet in the City Above and Below.
Author's note: This is not your average science fiction & fantasy novel. There are no heroes here. In fact, if you reach the end of this book and think you've found the hero, let me know who the bastard is so I can kill him.

Synopsis
It's the last days of a decade-long war and everyone just wants to get out alive ...
After ten years of fighting, the Duathic King Teum has returned to Planet Arc to make his last stand against the invading Coalition, who now stand poised for victory. In a universe torn by war, six lives intersect as the battle for survival reaches its epic climax ...
Fel, youngest daughter of King Teum, must escape the war zone with her sister, Delea, but finds herself pulled into investigating an ancient mystery which may give her the power to save her father or unwittingly destroy him. Par Riordan, a 200-year-old cybernetic assassin, is marking time, waiting for a cure for his terminally-ill son, when he finds himself tasked with a new mission: kidnap or kill any surviving members of King Teum's royal family. Atticus Marius, a war-weary lieutenant, is ordered to the tip of the spear where allies can quickly become enemies and each mission is more dangerous than the last. Taylor Caellyn is a beautiful but deadly fighter pilot with a complicated love life, who finds she must now protect the Coalition advance from the skies. Ortho Andronicus, a chubby and disgruntled desk jockey who is forced into duty on the front lines.
Welcome to the richly drawn world of a distant time and galaxy, where soldiers, assassins and princesses all meet . . .
in Above and Below.
Author's note: If you're still wondering if this is the book for you, check out the reviews below. To my knowledge, each one of them is real and authentic.
The story of this novel was originally constructed during my tour of duty in Afghanistan. I sketched the first outline while on layover in Germany and once we were deployed, I just kept on writing. I drafted a lot of it on my free time between patrols and on some nights when the patrols were boring, I would hand chapters to my soldiers who would read them and give me feedback.
The original plan was for this story to be a graphic novel or a web comic. Years later, I decided it would be better to turn the story into a novel, which I then wrote while studying for my Master's.
I tell this story from the perspective of six different characters who occupy every side of the war. There are no real heroes here, just a lot of people trying to make it out alive. I had always wanted to write a story like that and now I cannot wait to tell the rest of it.
I am hoping to put out Book 2 next year as well as a shorter prequel novel. If you have any other questions or are looking for updates, you can sign up for my email list on my website:
